Andrew Williams

Andrew Williams, is the principal and founder of the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Laws LLB honours and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law.  He began his legal career more than 10 years ago when he was employed as a Immigration Caseworker at the Refugee Legal Centre (later known as the Refugee and Migrant Justice).  After qualifying as a solicitor, he worked for a number of years within a highly respected law firm before setting up AW Immigration in 2004 and then Andrew Williams Solicitors in 2007. He has attracted many of the best immigration lawyers in the UK to his firm which continues to grow. Andrew is one of leading Specialist Immigration Solicitors in West Yorkshire and has been involved in some complicated and important cases. His experience and knowledge of Immigration means that he is best place to advise client’s on the merits of any proposed immigration application.

Jatinder Kaur

Jatinder Kaur joined Andrew Williams Solicitors in 1995 when the firm was known as AW Immigration.  Jatinder has a wealth of experience in the fields of Asylum and Immigration having work for 3 specialist immigration practices before joining AW Immigration. Jatinder’s commitment to the firm and all the firm’s client’s is to be commended but can also be judged by her successes that are second to none.  Andrew Williams Solicitors currently represents clients throughout the whole of the UK and Jatinder has been at the forefront of the firm’s development and success. Jatinder is also responsible for the firm’s policies and practices regarding client care and ensures that clients are not only happy with the work completed but also with the services they have received generally.

Harry Pratt

Harry Pratt heads the Manchester office of Andrew Williams Solicitors. He has over ten years experience of working for Immigration Law charities and in private practice and is accredited as an Immigration Law specialist by the Law Society. Harry deals with both personal and business immigration issues and is a highly experienced court advocate. Oshell Grant

I started work at Andrew Williams Solicitors two and a half years ago, in September 2009, after completing my Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons) at Leeds Metropolitan University. I am currently studying the Legal Practice Course at Leeds Metropolitan University. I am a Legal Assistant within the firm. I work closely with the Legal Advisors in the firm to prepare various applications and appeals in the Tribunal. I also liaise with clients and external agencies. I have a Customer Services background having previously worked as a Customer Service Assistant at Halifax Bank.

Rifatt Malik 

I joined Andrew Williams Solicitors in 2011 and have a wealth of immigration experience in various domains of the field.  I started my career with a small local immigration firm before moving up rapidly within the Immigration Advisory Service.  Here, I developed my advocacy skills in whic h I have vast experience.  I have worked for a city law centre and a local immigration solicitor s firm for which I have developed the immigration services they provide. Being multilingual, I have been involved with clients whose primary language is Urdu, Hindi or Punjabi.  I take keen interest in dealing with cases which originate within the Middle East or the South Asian subcontinent.

Katie Bottomley

I finished school and my A-levels in 2009 and had always wanted to go travelling. I seized the opportunity and took a gap year to travel the East coast of Australia. I had various jobs to fund my travels around Australia, such as working in bars, as a door to door salesperson and packing tomatoes in a warehouse. Although these jobs aren’t all appealing, they taught me to be versatile.

When I came back from Australia I resumed my job in retail, as a supervisor and worked there until September 2011, when I was given the opportunity to work at Andrew Williams Solicitors. I was hired as an Admin Assistant and within three months I was promoted to a Legal Assistant and I enjoy working alongside Andrew Williams himself as his Personal Assistant.
